I have two shelves, one for housing herbs (the Herb Cabinet) and another for housing remedies *the Remedy Cabinet). I prefer to not use the term ‘apothecary cabinet’, because the meaning of the word ‘apothecary’ originally referred to a person, not a place.

I tell my family to grab the such and such from the apothecary closet. We keep ours in a closet off the kitchen across from the bathroom. I do like herb cabinet, but if I said that to my family they would go to the cooking herb cabinet rather than the medical shelves. A fun discussion though!
