In reply to Christy. I actually feel more "clear" after 2 oilings. My husband felt burning using EV olive oil (one year old) so I tried castor oil, no burning.

In reply to Christy. I like sesame oil for it's warming and moving, just what's needed for sinus congestion. Unless you typically run hot (you'll know if this is you) then you would use sunflower or coconut oil.

In reply to Glennis. I need to try it on my husband who has suffered from excess mucus for a long time and his hearing is getting worse. I have already used oil sniffing on myself occasionally for blocked sinus, but not actually putting the drops in very often. I have read that DMSO is also effective.

so simple, so useful. Your approach is so informal and funny, you “say it like it is”. Thank you. Have been trying this, I put teatree oil on my forehead and a dot on my cheeks as well to clear the sinus, it works. I will let you know my results with continued use of drops in the nose. I am convinced it will make a big difference. I use only cold pressed oils for my face and skin. Teatree oil has resolved many problems for me (I snorkel a lot, clears the sinus). I have grapeseed oil on hand and castor oil, either of these OK to use?

Thank you so much! I have suffered from allergic rhinithis my whole life. Have submitted to surgeries, have done immunotherapy. But nasal oiling is definitely life changing. I am from brasilia, Brazil. So glad I have found this page. Again, thank you!!
