In reply to <a href="https://kamimcbride.com/purslane-healing-superfood/#comment-5648">Tracy</a>.

HI Tracy, I talk about purslane being anti-inflammatory and mucilagenous in supporting the gastrointestinal tract. I also talked about its healing benefits for cooling the skin
Here is a video I shot about purslane where I talk about medicinal benefits. At this point I teach from personal experience.

I really enjoyed the article as I had no idea about this awesome weed. I feel like you left us hanging however, as you mentioned Purslane has medicinal benefits but didn't go into further detail by providing info or a link perhaps to medicinal uses etc. If you do have further info I'd love your take on uses. Thank you so much for sharing your info.

Wonderful weed! I eat it every day, sometimes twice a day in a salad. (A bit of Lettuce, purslane, a bit of red onion, cucumber, tomato, (all from my garden) a dash of lemon juice and a splash of olive oil, salt and pepper to taste) I'm sad that summer is almost over and I won't be able to pick it every day. I did pick a 5 gallon bucket full and froze it so I'm anxious to see how that works. I kept some seed so I will grow a batch in the corner of my garden next year. Now it's all over the place..

You need to make sure you have exact 125% accurate identification of any plant you use. Bland does not sound right. You need to find someone around you that knows how to identify it.

I have a nice little bunch of this growing in my veggie garden. I just tasted it (raw) and it is very bland-not lemony at all. Does it vary in flavor? Guess I'm wondering if I have the right weed-looks exactly like your picture reddish stems and all.

I came across your website here because I started using Purslane (cultivating it in an area of my garden) and it has increased my focus drastically! Amazing. So I"ve been looking for more information on it.
I'm also planning to find it in liquid form, to use for my son and grandson who are both mildly on the Autism spectrum, which was recommended.
My husband saw it sold fresh, in our local food co-op!

I have not had that made for quite some time and all the sudden this hear much of it I was not happy but now I am I will go see if there still is some growing since we have a late fall. Can you tell me is it possible to freeze it and put it in soups I know you said drying it is not a good idea but freezing after cutting it up fresh would be great for soup later if you think that is a good idea
