Herbs for Vibrant Health really means, “Do you want to have more energy at the end of the day?”
The most common complaint I hear from people in my clinical herbal practice is that they don’t have enough time or energy.
I can’t say that I know how to carve out more time but herbal wisdom offers us remedies that shore up our vitality by enhancing digestion.
The body spends a tremendous amount of energy to ensure that we digest our food. Do you remember the last time you ate a large meal and felt like taking a nap afterwards?
Your body was putting its energy into digestion and you didn’t have left over energy to do much else.
It is a common experience: Eat a nice, big, tasty lunch and then by 2:00 you just feel like lying your head down on your desk; or the couch or wherever really.
Or maybe a nap isn’t anywhere in the realm of what is possible so coffee and sugar are the easiest thing to reach for. .. Sound familiar?
Herbs don’t take care of everything, but they can help you to digest your lunch, so that you feel better in the afternoon. Vibrant health is really just about feeling better, don’t you think?
Less than optimum digestion not only promotes daily fatigue but can contribute to a whole host of chronic ailments including arthritis, allergies, PMS and nutritional deficiencies.
Here is one of my favorite herbal teas to strengthen digestion. It has a nice flavor, is easy to make and helps you to digest your meals more efficiently. When you digest well, you have more life force to do the things in life that you love to do.

Do you already have these spices in your cupboard? If not, both of these seeds are found in the spice section of grocery stores.
Try a cup of this delicious tea after your next meal!
This is such a good tea. I dry-roast 3 seeds:cumin, coriander and fennel.
Love drinking one cup after dinner, call it..CCF tea.

I have fennel seeds and ground coriander seeds on my spice rack. Can I use the ground coriander, or should I buy the seeds?

Thank you for sharing this recipe! I will have to give it a try, as I have both fennel and coriander seeds, and have not tried a tea like this for digestion.
