Are you looking for DIY herbal gift ideas? Making and giving homemade herbal gifts is a wonderful way to celebrate the earth’s harvest and create something beautiful and meaningful. I’ve been crafting these handmade herbal gifts for years, and they are always a hit! Many of these simple projects are fun for the kids to make, too.
#1 Cherry Chocolate Treats
This is one of my favorite homemade herbal gifts. I have made these chocolate treats for years and everyone asks for them! They are so easy to prepare, yet everyone thinks it takes more effort than it does. These delicious treats contain healthy fats, antioxidant-rich chocolate, mineral-rich dried fruit, and natural sweeteners.

#2 Chili Oil
This chili oil is one of the most used condiments in our home. Everyone is addicted to it and we put it on scrambled eggs, soups, steamed veggies, and more. Unlike some chili oil recipes that take weeks to infuse, this recipe takes only a day or two. If you know someone who likes spicy food, they are going to enjoy this!

Give a jar of this herbal chai honey and your recipient will be able to make a cup of instant chai whenever they want. This non-caffeinated herbal chai recipe is a yummy treat and afternoon pick-me-up. Just stir it into hot water for a cup of comforting tea. #9 Medicinal Wreaths
This lesson was shot as a live stream, so it isn’t the best video quality, but it’s worth a watch. I guide you step by step in how to make a wreath and the healing qualities that your wreath can add to your home environment. You can use many different wreath materials like evergreen, bay, eucalyptus, rosemary, sage, oregano, yarrow, willow, and more.

Would like to make small herbal cooking wreaths to pop in soups and stews, Thinking to do this using my garden herbs for Christmas gifts
I’ve made the lavender hearts in the past with my mom. I am now making some Christmas trees filled with rosemary and lavender the same way. Thank you for all the ideas. (Thinking on a couple of snowmen buy unsure what to fill with yet.)
I stumbled upon your holiday gift ideas and just love this! Thank you for sharing your lovely creations. I will try to make a couple!
My then young son and I would go for a walk to find some birchbark that was later cut into circles. A cut to middle of circle allowed us to shape that into a cone, cut out and added angel wings, trimmed with lace, bead for head and dried cornsilk for hair. We also tied straw into stars. The husks of milkweed pods make cute Jesus Manger to hang in tree.
Thank you for this, and for the reminder ^_^ These are lovely. Can’t wait to make a wreath now (!!)
Oh, that’s so sweet and generous of you. Here, it is late evening now, but I shall watch the videos as soon as I can. Best wishes
Thanks, Kami, for reminding me of these wonderful gift ideas. We will make some of these in my medicine circle group. I showed several members of my family how to make ghee yesterday. I have given each of them a copy of your book. Mine is beginning to fall apart I have used it so much.
Kami, thank you so very much for sharing these wonderful gift ideas! I hope to make several of them. Have a most awesome holiday season.
Thank you, glad you feel inspired!
I never would have thought of this as an herbal gift, but mixing cinnamon and sugar for making cinnamon toast.
Hi Kami,
I used to make wreaths from ground spruce and the cuttings from our Christmas tree.
