The days and nights are growing colder, so it’s the perfect time to whip up a warm and cozy mug of chai honey latte! This homemade chai is way better than the expensive, refined sugar-filled drinks you find at coffee chains.
All you need to make this caffeine-free herbal drink is a spoonful of chai honey, water, and the milk of your choice.
Chai Honey
What’s chai honey, you ask? It’s a super simple herbal honey you can make using spices you probably already have in your kitchen spice rack.
Warming spices like cinnamon, ginger, clove not only taste delicious, they can also improve your digestive health, increase circulation, and relieve congestion.

Once you have a jar of chai honey in your cupboard, it’s easy to brew up a homemade latte any time you want.
Because this chai honey latte doesn’t contain caffeine, you can drink it any time of day or night. Cinnamon boosts brain health, so this drink actually makes a great afternoon pick-me-up. It can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike.

Milk Frother
You can make this recipe with dairy or plant-based milk. I like using raw milk or almond milk.
For an extra creamy and luxurious latte, you could use a milk frother. These come in many different styles, from electric machines you use on the countertop to heat the drink, as well as hand-held, battery-operated stick frothers.
But don’t worry if you haven’t got a milk frother. This chai honey latte tastes just as delicious heated in a saucepan on the stove.

Chai Honey Latte
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp chai honey
- 1/4 cup raw milk or almond milk
- Dash of powdered cardamom
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and heat until very warm, stirring the mixture to combine.
- If you’re using raw milk and don’t want to heat it, then start with the honey and water on the stove. Once the tea is hot, turn off the heat and add the milk.
- For an extra frothy latte, you could also use a countertop or handheld milk frother.
- Serve immediately and enjoy warm.
