This is a simple, easy to make and easy to use herbal remedy that really helps knock out all kinds of coughs…
I use this remedy for anyone over 7 years old. For children and elderly, I use a little less pepper…
Know anyone with a cough right now? This can help…
Thanks so much for this informative video. Keeping my lungs and that of my family is so key right now. Can the fennel be purchased in powered form or would I need to used my spice blender to powder it?
Any thoughts on adding some powdered turmeric to this blend? If yes, how much? Thanks for this timely recipe. The air in our house this time of year (wood heat) seems to irritate the throat. This will be perfect.
Suanne,
As always my recipes are a jumping off point, feel free to experiment, start with a teaspoon….
I’ve used herbs for years ,love watching your videos. A great refresher course.
This cough syrup in peticular is amazing.
Thanks Barb, glad you are enjoying everything
love your honest vulnerability in this one… your authentic presence is so great to learn from. Thank you.
Do you grind your own ginger, anise, and fennel seed or do you buy it from an herbal store that way. This is completely new for me but I’m really intrigued!
I do both!
Thank you so much Kami! Cold season has hit our family and I am in need of making this. I have a question, are you using regular ground black pepper (straight from your kitchen cabinet) or do you buy a special type/brand? I’m thinking that straight from my cabinet wouldn’t be ground fine enough. I need to run to the Herb Cellar for some quality spices. 🙂
Hey Melissa, Yes, regular old black pepper straight from the kitchen cabinet! Easy!
