Every herbalist has their own herbal treat recipe, whether it’s mini balls, or chews, or bars. Of course, over the years, I created one too. If you learn how to make a few good herbal snack recipes, it can really take you a long way as far as not being exposed to so much junk.
These herbal vitality treats are great for lunch, potlucks, traveling, and picnics. This is also a really good recipe to share, to make with other people, and to make when you’re going to be with other people.
This crowd-pleasing herbal snack recipe is packed with protein, nutrition, and flavor. Here are some of the nutritious and healing ingredients in the recipe…
Cardamom
Cardamom is an amazing antioxidant. Antioxidants protect the body against aging and stress, so it’s a great herb to have in your food. Cardamom is also a powerful carminative that provides digestive support.
Cinnamon
Besides adding amazing flavor, cinnamon is a circulatory stimulant. It helps to deliver the nutrition of whatever you’re eating deeper into the body.
Sesame seeds
This herbal snack recipe contains sesame seeds and tahini, which is ground up sesame seeds. Sesame seeds are a really easy to digest source of protein and calcium.
Chia seeds
Chia seeds have protein, essential fatty acids, and fiber. They really bulk up the digestive tract, and help you have a better bowel movement.
Spirulina
Spirulina is really high in chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is one molecule different than your blood. It’s an amazing blood cleanser. However, it is very green! If your family is just getting used to this whole herbal thing, you might want to leave the spirulina out.
Rose petals and rose water
Roses are cooling and anti-inflammatory. They also support and nourish the nervous system, helping to bring calm and relaxation.
