Well, that is what I did on this very spot and I never looked back

The California school of herbal studies. Straight out of college I started taking classes with Rosemary Gladstar and Jane Bothwell. I had just spent 4 years in college classes and not a single class from those 4 years touched me the way Rosemary did in the first 2 hours I spent with her…. I was smitten. That was it. I knew I was in the right place.

I didn’t even really know what was happening here at the California School of Herbal Studies, but I knew that whatever it was, I wanted it. Those two women and this place set the course of my life.

Nowhwere could I look out on my life and see a reflection of the choice I was making, to be here and study herbalism it just wasn’t out there. I mean now herbalism is everywhere now, but in 1986, it wasn’t like that, it wasn’t an option it was not on the radar…
