Tropical Cream Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp dried chopped ginger (or 1 tbsp fresh)
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried lavender
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 8 dates, pitted
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp powdered nutmeg
  • Handful of fresh lemon balm
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice

Instructions

  • First make a ginger-lavender tea. Place ginger, lavender, and water in a teapot. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the top of the herbs and let steep for two hours.
  • Using a metal strainer, remove the herbs from the tea.
  • Put the tea in a blender along with the remaining ingredients. Blend well.
