Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup sun flower seeds
  • ½ tsp good quality salt
  • As much basil as you can get into your blending device

Notes

When I am freezing pesto like this, I add as much basil as I can as long as the blending device will still keep turning. I don’t do this with a pesto I am eating right away, it is too dry. But when I de-frost the basil cubes I can add more oil then.
