Natural Homemade Foot Soak Recipe

Author: Kami McBride

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon of water
  • 1 cup of dried herbs

Instructions

  • Put 1 gallon of water into a large pot.
  • Put 1 cup of dried herbs into the pot.
  • Bring the water and herbs into a boil.
  • Turn off the heat and let the herbs infuse for 1 hour with the lid on the pot. Now, you have a very big pot of tea!
  • Leave the herbs in the water for the herbal foot bath or strain them out.
  • Reheat to the perfect temperature just before using.
  • Pour the strained or unstrained tea into a foot basin. I like to leave the herbs in; they continue to infuse into the water and I enjoy their color and texture.
  • Soak your feet for 10 minutes or for so long as you like. Sometimes, I even fall asleep like this.
  • It isn't much of mess to clean up after an herbal foot soak. When you are finished, just pour the water and herbs into a garden bed outside.
