Peppermint-Lavender Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of dried lavender
  • 1 tbsp of dried peppermint
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • Peppermint sprigs for garnish
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the lavender, peppermint, and water into a covered saucepan. I use stainless steel Revere pots; glass and enamel pots also work well.
  • Over medium-high heat, bring water and herbs to a boil, and then immediately remove from the heat. Let herbs steep for one hour.
  • Using a metal strainer, remove the herbs from the tea.
  • Pour the tea into a pitcher and stir in the lemon juice and honey.
  • Garnish with peppermint sprigs and lemon slices.
