Getting your family used to drinking tea is one of the antidotes to reaching for that Big Gulp, big sugar impact drinks that seem to be everywhere.Family, friends and feasts, this is the perfect time to share some Christmas Tea with your loved ones.

Do you know what people love about this tea? It’s red.

Yep. Red teas get gobbled up more than any other color tea!

Hibiscus makes a red tea! It’s a good source of vitamin C and it’s full of minerals. That is one of the benefits of having a regular habit of drinking herbal teas. Herbal teas are rich in minerals and it’s an easy way to up your mineral intake.

Hibiscus also has lots of antioxidants that help to keep you healthy.  Hibiscus has a long history of being used as a cardiovascular tonic and it also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in your body.

Lemon verbena is just a crowd pleaser. Its’ lemony aroma has an uplifting effect on anyone in the room.

Lemon verbena is one of my favorite herbs to make tea with for other people. I have never met anyone that didn’t enjoy a cup of lemon verbena tea. The aroma is so pleasing and the flavor is very mild and satisfying. Both hibiscus and lemon verbena have a mild calming, but not sedating effect.

Herbal tea is a great alternative to all the sugar drinks out there. Even the healthy store bought drinks have questionable ingredients.

The Harvard School of Medicine is calling childhood obesity, “one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century”. There are many things contributing to that statistic, but the sugar and soda drinks play a big role.

Getting your family used to drinking tea is one of the antidotes to reaching for that Big Gulp, big sugar impact drinks that seem to be everywhere.

What I am so amazed by again and again is that when you provide a delicious and healthy drink, people can feel it. People are like, “Wow, what is that!?

Make up a big batch of this tea and share it with your loved ones. This combination makes the perfect Christmas Tea!
