What I love about making infused oil for cooking is you don’t have to go to herbal school for years to reap the benefits. You can find simple, creative ways to get herbs and spices into your food everyday and be a rock star home herbalist. Getting herbs into every meal is one of the best things you can do to help support your health.

You use fat in your cooking. You probably use olive oil. So let’s infuse that olive oil with herbs and spices! Here are five of my go-to recipes to make infused oil for cooking.

culinary herbal oil

#1 Culinary Herbal Oil

Any dried culinary herbs that you have that you really like, you can do this with. For example, I like to make this infused oil for cooking with oregano, thyme, cayenne, bay, coriander, and pepper. I make up a bunch of these oils at once and have them on hand because they make great gifts!

#2 Long Life Oil

This culinary oil is so full of antioxidants that even if it doesn’t make you live longer, it will make you feel better! I use it add full-bodied flavor to everything from quinoa salad to jambalaya, stir-fries, pasta sauces, steamed vegetables, and fish.

alchemy oil

#3 Alchemy Oil

Alchemy Oil magically makes everything taste good! If I’m in a hurry, I do a quick vegetable sauté, top it with this oil, and the meal tastes like I spent way more time in the kitchen. You can also drizzle this digestion activating oil on scrambled eggs, rice, salads, soups, and more.

chili oil

#4 Chili Oil

Put a dash of chili oil on an omelet, use it in your salad dressings and marinades, or drizzle it on baked potatoes, veggies, and stir-fries. Cayenne is high in antioxidants and vitamin C and supports digestion. If you like spicy food, you are going to enjoy this recipe.
