Lavender
Lavender (Lavandula spp.) has such a beautiful aroma and flavor. People think of lavender as relaxing, but it’s also uplifting. That’s the perfect party drink when people are relaxed. They’re relaxed enough to talk and feel free, but they still also feel uplifted.
Peppermint
Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) drinks clear the head and help to increase metal clarity. This nutrient-dense herb is high in calcium, magnesium, potassium. Peppermint also aids digestion, making it an excellent herb for drinks that you’ll serve alongside party food.

Peppermint-Lavender Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp dried lavender
- 1 tbsp dried peppermint
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup honey
- Peppermint sprigs for garnish
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Place the lavender, peppermint, and water into a covered saucepan. I use stainless steel Revere pots; glass and enamel pots also work well.
- Over medium-high heat, bring water and herbs to a boil, and then immediately remove from the heat. Let herbs steep for one hour.
- Using a metal strainer, remove the herbs from the tea.
- Pour the tea into a pitcher and stir in the lemon juice and honey.
- Garnish with peppermint sprigs and lemon slices.
