Carminative Herbs

This herbal seasoning blend features five powerful healing herbs that can support gut health and improve digestion:

Lavender

You may be familiar with using lavender for relaxation, but it can also help you digest your food with more ease. Carminative herbs like lavender help to increase the flow of circulation and energy in the digestive tract. As a result, you may experience less gas, bloating, and indigestion.

Rosemary

Rosemary is a great digestive aid and incredibly antioxidant. Studies have showed that rosemary is even more antioxidant than the manmade chemicals they use to preserve foods. When you have a diet rich in antioxidants, your cells age more slowly and it helps your mental capacity.

Fennel Seed

Fennel stimulates the appetite before meals and facilitates digestion afterwards. It stimulates the secretion of digestive and gastric juices and helps digest fats. Fennel helps to relieve indigestion and is one of the best herbs that I know for soothing gas and bloating.

Calendula

Calendula heals and regenerates tissues throughout the entire body. This beautiful sunshine-colored flower heals inflammatory digestive conditions and encourages the healthy flow of lymph in the body.

Peppermint

Peppermint eases stomach problems and in fact has a long history of being used as an after-dinner digestive aid. Peppermint also supports blood circulation, increases mental clarity, and fights off colds.

Herbes de California

These five herbs grow and thrive where I live in California, so I call my blend Herbes de California. But no matter where you live, this is a versatile, multi-purpose herbal seasoning blend. You can put it into soups, stews, marinades, roasted vegetables, grilled proteins, and more.

You can find all of the dried, organic herbs in this herbal seasoning blend at Mountain Rose Herbs.
